    Sacred Heart Mission (Cataldo) (B, M, P, SP) The Roman Catholic mission on the Couer D'Alene River still stands today as the oldest building in Idaho. It is now a state historical park, located 20 miles east of Couer D'Alene, Idaho, on Interstate 90.

    Ward Massacre (P,M) In August 1854 the Alexander Ward party was attacked by a group of Shoshoni Indians near present day Boise. Out of 20 members of the part 18 were killed and 2 left for dead; upon hearing the news Maj. Granville Haller was ordered to rescue any survivors and to punish those responsible. Operated by the Canyon County Department of Parks, Recreation and Waterworks. Located west of Boise on old U.S. Highway 20-30 to Middleton Road, at the intersection of Lincoln Road and Middleton Road
