Mr. Breshears is a graduate of
Eastern
Washington University, in Cheney, WA, with a BAE in Social Science Education,
1993. He also has endorsements in Elementary Education, 1997. MA in
History, 2006. Currently he works as a guest (aka substitute) teacher for several districts in Spokane County. He also attended EWU as part of the Living History Institute Grant Program. He's thesis for his Masters was looking at the military history of Washington Territory through the eyes of Maj. Haller and Col. Steptoe (since they both had similar experiences) He has traveled to Europe, South America, the Caribbean, Canada and several states in the United States always looking at the history of the area he's traveling to. He has published his first book dealing with the 13th NY Light Artillery Battery that fought during the Civil War. He second book deals with the strange dismissal of Maj. Granville Haller during the Civil War. Now he is putting together a book that deals with official reports of Washington Territory during the Civil War. More information later.
